CIS 112 LYSA TOPSoccer Homepage

The LYSA TOPSoccer program is run through the US Youth Soccer organization in Lexington, Kentucky to provide young players with disabilities an environment where they can learn and develop skills through the game of soccer.
We are all students at The University of Kentucky enrolled in the course CIS 112: Accelerated Composition and Communication for the Fall of 2015. This course requires that their students take part in at least 10 hours of volunteering at a local service site. We were all assigned LYSA TOPSoccer at the beginning of the semester and attended the program every Sunday for one hour.
We all learned so much while working for this program, about ourselves, our players, and the world around us. With our blog, we wanted to document those experiences to share with our classmates, future TOPSoccer volunteers, and the rest of the world. We hope you enjoy our blog!

I'm Rachel Adkins and I'm a freshman at the University of Kentucky. I'm from Versailles, Kentucky and I'm so happy to finally call myself a wildcat. I drink lots of coffee, read lots of books, and listen to lots of music. I love to adventure, explore, and discover. I try to always keep a big heart that shines through my big smile. I'm very thankful for my experiences so far and can't wait to see what the future holds for this lovely life we all share.
